A young man is accused of stabbing another young man at a train station after a brawl that just resulted in death. Laurie Tagaloa, a 24-year-old man, was identified as the victim.
In connection with the slaying of Laurie Tagaloa on July 11 in a Brisbane food court incident, police have now detained a suspect.
Queensland Police Inspector Sean Cryer says police were checking the Brisbane City Council's CCTV system when they observed a disturbance occurring in the open.

The most recent evidence that is now posted on Reddit indicates that a fight started in Brunswick St. Mall on Monday, July 11, 2022, at about 4 AM. Two parties were involved in the conflict between the two factions that resulted in the death of Louie Tagaloa, 24.
The CCTV footage captured the two groups of men screaming at one another. According to the video, one of the groups reportedly sought to diffuse the situation and leave.
Later, two males get into a fight, and Louie Tagaloa is seen being stabbed and falling backward in the footage. He was bleeding profusely from the knife cut around his neck when he fell to the ground. The 24-year-old father was saved by first aid from a witness at the scene as blood began to collect on the floor after Tagaloa struck it.
However, the paramedics' efforts were in vain since Tagaloa died before they could revive him. He was recognized as having passed away at the spot.
Since the event, a 20-year-old native of Birkdale has been detained on suspicion of killing Louie Tagaloa. According to the Daily Mail UK, two additional males involved in the event are apparently helping with the murder probe.
