Police were watching the Brisbane City Council's CCTV system when they noticed a disturbance happening in the public, according to a statement made by Queensland Police Inspector Sean Cryer to the local media.

According to reports, Lauie Tagaloa was only 24 years old when he was killed, and authorities have confirmed that the murderer was only 20.

The conflict started when the two groups started shouting and yelling at each other at around 4:00 A.M. local time, as can be seen in the video, and eventually a fight broke out between them.
Following the assault, Lauria Tagaloa was observed stumbling backward before eventually fainting.
The three guys allegedly fled the scene, and a witness attempted to provide first aid to the victim, but Lauria Tagaloa died from her injuries on the spot, according to the police report.
